I was born in Cameroon in 1964 and now live on the eastern border with China and Russia (Kazakhstan), where I devote myself to my art and my work. The practice of drawing has been part of my life since childhood. Painting is a privileged moment for me, when I can fully surrender to carefully exploring my innermost being. The depths of the human soul challenge me.
From a very early age, I was fascinated by drawing—the smell of pencil, paper, and gouache. As a teenager, I began to refine my skills, choosing watercolor because I did not yet dare to use oil paints due to a lack of confidence. In the mid-1990s, I turned to oil painting with a palette knife, creating several abstract works over three years in New York.
Art has always been the driving force in my life. I have been passionate about painting since childhood. For me, painting is a way to escape, to express myself, and to share my journeys. I enjoy seeing my paintings observed, admired, criticized, even unsettled. For me, art must be in motion. My art stands somewhat apart because, I believe, it captures emotions in the moment and often preserves a sense of mystery.
“To paint and to share with others a love of materials, pigments, and forms.”
I wish you a very pleasant virtual visit.
