Felt-Making Workshop: Wall Panel is a hands-on session focused on creating a decorative wool panel using the wet felting technique. Participants will learn the basics of working with felt, explore composition, and experiment with color and texture. Guided by the instructor, each participant will create their own panel while discovering the material’s flexibility and artistic potential.
Film Screening: “Nostalgia” with Discussion — an event dedicated to exploring the fundamentals of directing and understanding the authorial language of Andrei Tarkovsky. Participants will watch the film and discuss its visual style, composition, rhythm, use of light and sound. The discussion will provide a deeper insight into the director’s artistic techniques and the nuances of experiencing his auteur cinema.
Art Talk with Sembigali Smagulov is an open conversation with the artist focused on his creative journey, artistic language, and his approach to form, space, and material. During the talk, Sembigali Smagulov will share insights into his work across painting, graphics, and sculpture, as well as his experience creating monumental artworks in urban environments. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss the exhibited works, and gain a deeper understanding of the context behind the solo exhibition “SEMBIGALI.”
