by Collective Profile
The exhibition brings together works by contemporary Kazakh artists — Aitzhamal Tastambekova, Almas Nurgozhayev, Anuar Shaimerzhenov, Aruai Tasmaganbetova, Askar Nurbolat, Darkhan Zhaimurzhiyev, Saulet Zhanibek, Stas Agapitov, and Sofia Teyder. The display features painting, graphic art, and sculpture. The project explores the idea of the artist’s “personal universe,” where each author constructs their own reality through color, form, and material. Diverse styles and artistic approaches come together to form a cohesive representation of contemporary art in Kazakhstan.
In some exhibition projects, this label is used to designate a group of artists presented within collective and complex exhibitions. This format is applied when a project is based on the interaction of multiple artistic practices and does not single out one central author. The precise list of participants and their individual biographies is provided in the descriptions of specific projects, particularly in exhibitions involving a large number of artists. The use of a collective designation ensures structural clarity in publications and emphasizes the concept of a group artistic statement.
Scientists debate the existence of the multiverse. Hypothetically, the meta-universe encompasses all existing parallel worlds. False vacuums and the landscapes of string theory challenge the boundaries of scientific understanding. Quantum physics, the cosmological constant, and the anthropic principle… What does this have to do with art? From the perspective of science, everything is relative. From the perspective of the artist, everything is simple. An artist lives and works in the reality they create themselves. Young artists from different cities of Kazakhstan. Different styles, techniques, directions, genres, temperaments, artistic languages, and attitudes toward life. Each of us carries our own world within. A world woven from memories, feelings, and hopes. An artist, without any protective shield, breathes and sees with an open heart, experiencing every energetic vibration of society. The universe within the heart reflects what a person sees around them. There are many ways of seeing. One can allow oneself to see what is hidden from others. One can learn to recognize beauty where no one else notices it. One can lift the dusty veils of routine and learn to see the soul of a loved one. It is painful, yet incredibly beautiful. Painting, graphic art, and sculpture. Each work is born simply to exist. An irreversible process of creation called “art.” To create means to take the most difficult path toward oneself and to allow no hint of falsehood in relation to the world — this one, and all parallel ones. A new exhibition. New names. New universes. New stars.
