Nikita Bassov

Winner of the Eurasian International Award and awardee of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly's Award for Merit in the Development of Culture and Art. He has been working in the genres of sports, portrait, wedding, and reportage photography for over 20 years. Nikita's photographs have been published in Kazakhstani and foreign publications. Participant in national and international photography projects.

The photographs presented in the display are part of the project “The Game of the Great Steppe,” which shows the uniqueness of kokpar and its cultural value as a traditional and one of the oldest types of competition. The author aims to introduce the general public to the customs of the peoples of Central Asia and to increase interest in preserving the cultural heritage of the country and the region.
